There are nine shopping days until my birthday! Just a little bit of a reminder, of course!
Secondly, no offence, Rabastan darling, but men's grooming tips and women's are two completely separate things.

Hmm. Is anyone else's journals acting up a little? For some reason, my name was no longer sticking. I've had to try several times before it finally stuck.

A first year Slytherin apparently snuck into the sixth year girl's room and stole my brush, as well as a few bits of clothing. When I confronted her, she bawled like a little confessed and returned all the items. She admitted that she admired me and thought she could be more like me with a few of my things. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I found it rather appalling. I know she didn't mean any harm, and I bear her no ill will, but it's a little peculiar. Don't you think?

So the point of these journals is to communicat with our peers, yes? Perhaps, we should play a little game of Two Truths and One Lie. It should help us get to know one another better, I should think. If you're uncertain of the rules, I'll include them.
Present three facts about yourself. Two of them will be true. One of them be false. Then, you encourage people to guess which one is the false one.
It's fairly simple, but I'm here to help if you need it.
I'll go ahead and start.
1. The South of France is my favourite summer holiday location. 2. My family is the most important thing to me. 3. I love winters in Scotland.

Where is my hairbrush? I can't very well manage 100 strokes if I can't find my hairbrush! If the house elves have moved it, I'd really like it back!

Personally, I think the journals are a fantastic idea. It will help us get to know our friend better, and get acquainted with new ones. Even if they aren't wor Professor Slughorn's journal is green, and I must admit to myself that I am exceedingly jealous. I think a light shade of green would suit me very well. Or a pale yellow to match my hair.
The beginning of school is my second favourite time. All those charts and new books to get used to, and all the organisation that goes into it. I'm so obsessed with organisation; I have to have everything just so. It makes things so much easier, and when you have as many duties as I do, it makes sense. One cannot manage one's (future) household without it. Though, I suppose you could, but it would make things messy, and you'd miss something. I cannot bear the thought of overlooking something, myself. Anyone who knows me knows how much attention to deal I have to pay.
Mummy's already sent me my first care package, and it is gorgeous, filled with all sorts of goodies. Chocolates, biscuits, new quills, and flowers for my night stand in the dormitory. She said that daddy's already missing Andromeda and I, and now I want to see him so badly. You would think that when you're about to turn 16, you would outgrow missing your family when you go away to school.
